Brooks Brothers California and Brain Dead return this fall with Drop 2, arriving Tuesday, September 2nd.
This latest release builds on the foundations of Drop 1, merging timeless tailoring with Brain Dead’s design language. Alongside a restock of core styles, Drop 2 introduces new silhouettes with updated fabrics and relaxed proportions: gauzy button-ups, cotton twill chinos, pleated suiting, and washed cotton shorts.
At the center is Brooks Brothers’ iconic button-down collar shirt, marking its 125th anniversary. Originally crafted for polo players in 1900, the shirt has since become a symbol of effortless style bridging sportswear, streetwear, and everyday uniform dressing.
Drop 2 continues the collaboration’s exploration of heritage and experimentation, honoring tradition while pushing the language of everyday wear forward.
To bring Drop 2 to life, we photographed Shin Okuda of Waka Waka in the latest pieces as we walked through his workshop and studio. Shin’s furniture practice is rooted in craft, form, and play. His approach mirrors the ethos of Brooks Brothers California x Brain Dead, honoring tradition while reworking it through an updated lens and grounding the collection in a space defined by the balance of dedication and experimentation.
