Celebrating a classic with SEGA and NTS at Brain Dead Studios.
Jet Set Radio first dropped on Dreamcast in 2000. Twenty-five years later, we’re celebrating the legacy with a week of programming at Brain Dead Studios from June 13–20, in collaboration with SEGA with sets by NTS Radio.
We’re hosting a special panel in celebration of 25 years of Jet Set Radio featuring the minds behind the game: Masayoshi Kikuchi, the original creative director, and Ryuta Ueda, the game’s art director, both from SEGA. They’ll be joined by Brain Dead’s co-founder and creative director Kyle Ng, as well as Jon Julio, founder of Them Skates, to talk about the game’s legacy, its visual world, and the subcultures it continues to influence. On June 20th, we’ll screen Prayer of the Rollerboys with a Q&A featuring director Rick King and writer Peter Iliff, moderated by Alex Gootter of Hollywood.
