El Michels Affair, the New York–based soul group led by producer Leon Michels, returns with 24 Hr Sports — a new album steeped in classic soul, hip-hop, and gospel.
Inspired by ’80s and ’90s Sports Illustrated, MF Doom’s Special Herbs, and vintage gospel records, 24 Hr Sports marks a highly anticipated return for El Michels Affair. The album comes with a stacked lineup of features including Clairo, Norah Jones, Shintaro Sakamoto, Florence Adooni, Rogê, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, and Dave Guy.
To celebrate the release, we’re dropping a limited edition t-shirt and cassette tape with exclusive artwork by Brain Dead — a collaboration born from the friendship between Kyle Ng and Leon Michels, blending their respective worlds of design and music.
