BRAIN DEAD & ARC'TERYX PRESENT
ALL RISE BAY AREA
We’re bringing our All Rise Fest to the Bay Area on Saturday, November 5th. Join us for a day-long celebration of the outdoors presented by All Rise and Brain Dead with support from Arc’teryx. All Rise Bay Area will take place at Benchmark Climbing (1607 Shattuck Ave) in Berkeley, CA. We’ll close out the day with special intimate performances by Portugal. The Man and Black Belt Eagle Scout.
The day will kick off with a five hour open climb session, where all puzzles are ungraded and equal in value. Points will diminish depending on how many climbers send it. The more you climb, the better chance you have of winning! While the scores are being tallied, attendees will be treated to an exciting pro invitation final spectacular featuring some of the most prominent names in the bouldering and the outdoor space. Throughout the day and evening attendees and participants will have the opportunity to visit our All Rise Base Camp, which will be jam packed with specialized merch booths featuring event specific collaborations between Brain Dead, Arc’teryx, and Mellow Climbing, community partners, food trucks, incredible Djs, and special musical guests.
Just like last time, all profits from climbing entries, ticket sales, and All Rise exclusive merchandise will go towards furthering All Rise’s mission to make climbing more accessible. Our inaugural All Rise Fest this past April saw more than three hundred climbers, seven hundred attendees, and raised $75,000.

All profits raised via ticket sales, merchandise, and raffle tickets will go towards furthering ALL RISE’s objectives. Founded in 2021, All Rise is an experimental program in the world of DEI brought to you by Brain Dead, Long Beach Rising, and Ashima Shiraishi. The focus of ALL RISE is simple; make climbing more accessible. So far, ALL RISE has built a free-to-all community climbing wall inside of Long Beach Rising and developed a scholarship program for those who want to pursue climbing and the outdoors.
ALL RISE Fest will kick off with a multi-level open to the public climbing competition highlighting prominent climbers from both the indoor and outdoor world. The competition will feature Ashima Shiraishi, US Olympian Brooke Raboutou, and Shawn Raboutou of Mellow Climbing. The climbing competition will dovetail into an evening concert in the courtyard between Long Beach Rising and Trademark Brewery featuring live sets by Tim Heidecker, Miya Folick, Deaton Chris Anthony, Cola Boyy, Ian Sweet, DJ sets by Vagabon, Favela Worldwide, Casey MQ, Sodapop, and comedy by Sydnee Washington, Felicia Folkes, Corie Johnson, additional special guests to be announced!Attendees have the opportunity to enter into our ALL RISE raffle featuring products donated by: Arc’teryx, Brain Dead, K2, Oakley, Vibram, and ROA. The day will also feature a collaborative Brain Dead and Trademark Brewing Coffee Cream “Esper Ale”, a light body ale with a clean finish and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee is a refreshing jolt to the senses! A portion of the day of sales from this delicious brew will benefit All Rise.
RADICAL FUTURE THROUGH
For climbing enthusiasts who are unable to attend, don’t fret! We’re working with Grasshopper Climbing’s Olympic Silver Medalist Nathaniel Coleman, Team USA Head Coach Josh Larson, Boone Speed, and designer Nicole McLoughlin to create custom ALL RISE climbs which will be available via all Grasshopper walls. Keep your eyes peeled for these climbs which launch Saturday, March 26th.
This year’s ALL RISE event wouldn’t have been possible without the help of our partners in the outdoor community and beyond. We’d like to give a special thanks to: Arc’teryx, AutoCamp, Mellow Climbing, Trademark Brewery, Grasshopper, DICE, Vibram, Oakley, K2, ROA, and Arrowhead Water.
Partnering with some of the raddest and baddest in the climbing community, we’ve developed two respective t-shirts with Mellow Climbing and Arc’teryx in support of All Rise’s initiatives. Initially meant to be exclusive to the event, you can now score the remaining stock of these limited edition tees via http://wearebraindead.com with all profits going towards All Rise.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us in this… to a higher future we go!
