Brain Dead Winter '24 Collection

Two boxy Knit Sweaters feature abstract shapes woven in bright colors that remind us of landscape silhouettes: a dreamy composition of motifs and hues that render the natural environment through a painterly expression. The Isa Scalloped Cardigan furthers this abstraction through shades of earthy green arranged in a fluid gradient. The Salt and Pepper Trouser, through their dark blue punctuated pattern, paint a picture of a winter night, when the sky and everything around is pitch-black but the light of the stars find a way to scratch the surface.

More browns, reds, blues, and greens are arranged throughout the collection, and applied both as flat color fields and interwoven patterns. And when color is not enough, the collection takes unexpected and energetic twists through the use of Brain Dead’s signature iconology, which draws inspiration from comics, subcultural imagery, and the visual environments of the internet age.
